1. Acceptance
Using this portal constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2. What Mon Chiot is
Mon Chiot is an intermediary portal that lists listings published by third-party breeders in Quebec and Ontario. We are not a breeder, a pet store, or a transactional marketplace: we sell no puppies and process no payments. Any agreement regarding the adoption of a puppy is concluded exclusively between the adopting family and the breeder.
3. Freshness ranking — our fairness commitment
Portal listings are ranked by publication date, most recent first. No breeder can pay to improve their ranking, obtain artificial featured placement, or bypass this order. This commitment is part of our terms of use, not just our marketing.
4. Accuracy of listings
The information published (availability, price, dates, health testing) comes from the breeders themselves. While we verify a breeder's identity and required health documentation before listing, Mon Chiot does not guarantee the ongoing accuracy of every individual listing. Report any inaccurate listing to info@monchiot.ca.
5. No transactions on the portal
No puppy can be reserved or paid for directly on this portal. Every placement goes through a direct exchange with the breeder, a recommended visit, and an agreement between the parties. Mon Chiot collects no commission on these agreements.
6. Limited liability as an intermediary
Mon Chiot acts as an information intermediary. We are not responsible for a puppy's health, a breeder's compliance with any guarantee offered, or disputes arising between an adopting family and a breeder. Our liability is limited to the reasonable accuracy of the checks we ourselves perform before listing a breeder.
7. Intellectual property
The text, layout and graphic elements of this portal are protected by copyright. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, without prior written authorization is prohibited. Photos and information specific to each breeder remain their property.
